Other Materials: Yarn needle, scissors, a stitch marker and a hair elastic.

How to Crochet the Easy Scrunchie (Pattern Instructions)
Start:
A) Make a slip knot and place it on your hook.
B) Insert your hook through the middle of the elastic.
C) Yarn over outside of the elastic and pull the yarn through the loop on your hook.

Round 1:
Make a sc st around the hair elastic. Here’s how:
- Insert your hook through the middle of the elastic.
- Yarn over outside of the elastic and pull through a loop (two loops on your hook).
- Yarn over and pull the yarn through the two loops on your hook.

Place a stitch marker in the top of the first sc st.
Make sc sts around the elastic until the sts completely cover the entire elastic.
(I made 30 sc sts. Exact stitch count is not important. The goal is to completely cover the elastic with sc sts.)
Sl st into the top of the first sc made to join (the st with the stitch marker. Remove marker).
Round 2: Ch 2. Do not turn.
In the first st (the st attached to the ch-2), make (dc, tr, dc) in the same st.
In each st around, make (dc, tr, dc) in the same st.
(Exact stitch count is not important. I had 90 sts (not counting the ch-2)).
Sl st into the top of the first dc to join.

Fasten off and weave in loose ends.

And now you have a new hair scrunchie!
