Pattern Details
Skill Level
These Easter treat bags are easy and beginner-friendly.
Size
The pattern creates a bag that is approx. 5.5โ high and 3.5โ wide (at the top). Instructions for making the bag larger are included at the end of the pattern.

Materials
Yarn: Any size 4 (medium) yarn. For each bag, you will need approx. 20 yds of orange yarn and 20 yds of green yarn.
I used Impeccable yarn by Loops & Threads in the colors: โPumpkinโ (orange) and โForestโ (green). This yarn is size 4 (medium) and 100% acrylic. A skein is 285 yds / 260 m and 4.5 oz / 127.5 g.
Crochet Hook Size: G/7 (4.50 mm).
Other Materials: Yarn needle, scissors and a measuring tape. Optional: a stitch marker.
Terminology
This pattern is written for right-handed crochet using standard US terminology. If you’re more familiar with UK terms, hereโs my US to UK Conversion Chart.

Abbreviations
- approx. = approximately
- ch/chs = chain/chains
- dc = double crochet
- hdc = half double crochet
- sc = single crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- sk = skip
- st/sts = stitch/stitches
Gauge
Exact sizing is not important. For reference, after Round 7, work should measure 2.5โ high and 2.25โ wide (at the top).

Pattern Notes
- Never turn at the start of a round.
- Chains never count as stitches.
- The slip stitch that joins the round never gets worked into or counted as a stitch.
- You may find it helpful to place a stitch marker in the first stitch made in every round.
