• Size: The pattern includes instructions for 6 sizes: Baby (under 1 year), Toddler (1 – 3 years), Child (4 – 7 years), Youth (8 – 13 years), Women (14+ years) and Men (14+ years).
• Yarn: You can use any size 4 (medium) and 100% acrylic yarn. Below are the total amounts of yarn required for each size (for two mittens) along with the colors I used:
  • Baby: 60 yds – all the colors listed below
  • Toddler: 80 yds – “Soft Taupe”
  • Child: 105 yds – “Pale Grey & True Grey”
  • Youth: 130 yds – “Green Lagoon”
  • Women: 160 yds – “Plum”
  • Men: 180 yds – “Misty Blue”

  I used Impeccable yarn by Loops & Threads in the colors listed above. This yarn is size 4 (medium) and 100% acrylic. A skein is 285 yds / 260 m and 4.5 oz / 127.5 g.

• Crochet Hook Sizes: H/8 (5.00 mm) for everything but the cuff and F/5 (3.75 mm) for the cuff.
• Other Materials: Stitch markers, a yarn needle, scissors and a measuring tape.
• Terminology: Written in English for right-handed crochet using standard US crochet terminology.
