All of my patterns are available to view on my ad-supported website entirely for free (keep scrolling down and you will see all the details and the written instructions). The ad-free, printable PDF versions are available to purchase in my shop or by joining the All-Access Membership. Here are more details and instructions for viewing the free patterns:

Free Crochet Patterns

All of my crochet patterns are available to view entirely for free. You can find them all on my free crochet patterns page.

When you are on the page of your selected free pattern, keep scrolling down (past where it asks both times if you want to get the PDF version – don’t click on either “get the PDF” buttons) and you will see all the details and all of the written instructions. The entire pattern is there and available to view at absolutely zero cost.

Please note: you do not have to enter your email address or credit card details in order to view the free pattern. The entire pattern including all of the details (such as the size, amount of yarn required, hook size, etc.) and all of the detailed written instructions are available entirely for free – just keep scrolling down and you will see the whole pattern.

The free patterns have ads throughout them and are not designed to be printed. They cannot be downloaded and are only meant to be viewed from my website. But…at absolutely no cost to you, you have access to 180+ easy-to-follow, thoroughly tested and tech-edited patterns, many with detailed diagrams and step-by-step video tutorials!

PDF Crochet Patterns

I also offer the ability to purchase printable, ad-free versions of my patterns. These PDF versions include everything from the free versions but in a beautifully formatted document that you can easily download, print and save.

To purchase the PDF, when you are on the page of your selected pattern, click on the “Get the PDF” button.

You can also purchase the PDF versions of my patterns individually in my Shop.

Also in my Shop, I offer incredible Pattern Bundles, which are carefully curated collections of PDF patterns that are available for one extremely low discounted price.

Another option for downloading the PDF versions of my patterns is by joining the All-Access Membership. For only $0.14 a day, you’ll get instant access to download ALL of my 180+ printable patterns!

These are just options for people to purchase the printable version but I still provide every pattern for free.

Subscribing to my Emails

Subscribing to my emails means that you’ll receive new free patterns, crochet gift ideas, discounts and updates. Subscribing to my emails does not provide access to the PDF versions of my patterns that you can download.

While I sometimes provide special incentives and giveaways that include free PDF patterns, a PDF pattern of your choosing is not emailed to you when you subscribe to my free newsletter.

You don’t need to subscribe to my emails to view the free patterns. They are all available to view 100% for free. When you are on the page of the pattern you are interested in, keep scrolling down the page and you will see all the details and instructions at absolutely zero cost.

If you are interested in an ad-free, print-ready version of the pattern that you can download, you can purchase the PDF by clicking on the “Get the PDF” button in the pattern or by going to my Shop or by joining the All-Access Membership.

Rationale Behind this Model

I hope you can understand the work involved in designing, making, testing and publishing crochet patterns. Some patterns have taken hundreds of hours or even months to design. While I enjoy every minute, there are significant costs involved including hosting my website, yarn, tools, tech editing, business fees, taxes and many other expenses in addition to the extensive amount of time each pattern takes. I charge a small amount for the printable version of my patterns as a way to help with expenses so I can continue sharing my patterns. 

It is a very common model for crochet designers to share a free version of the pattern on their ad-supported website and offer a printable version for a small price. There are a few crochet designers and yarn companies that offer the PDF (printable version) for free as they get financial support in other ways. For the majority of crochet designers, the printable versions as well as ads support the cost of our websites and business expenses. Otherwise, we would not be able to design and share our crochet patterns. 

I thought I would share the rationale behind this model in case it’s helpful.
