Quick & Easy Free Christmas Crochet Patterns
I absolutely love crocheting for Christmas. Whether it’s making a Christmas-themed gift for a loved one or decorating my house with crochet Christmas decorations, there’s something really special about watching my favorite holiday movie and crocheting by the light of the Christmas tree.
With my collection of quick, easy and free Christmas crochet patterns growing rapidly, I wanted to share these free patterns with you and hope making them brings you joy this Christmas season!
Free Crochet Christmas Patterns
What’s great about these free Christmas crochet patterns is that they all use the same type and color yarn so head to the yarn store (yay!) and pick up some worsted weight yarn in red, black and gold and some fluffy bulky white yarn (I highly recommend Pipsqueak) and you’ll be able to make all of these free Christmas crochet patterns!
Here they are the free patterns. Happy Christmas crocheting!
1. Santa Tissue Box – Free Crochet Pattern
First is this very festive Santa Tissue Box Cover. While decorating for Christmas this year and after unloading bin after bin of Christmas decorations and placing them everywhere, my husband said to me: “you know what really makes the house feel like Christmas?” It’s your Santa Tissue Box Covers. I never noticed how unfestive our Kleenex boxes were before!”
2. Santa Dog Bandana – Free Crochet Pattern
Whenever we have company over, Charlie likes to wear a bandana. For fancy occasions he wears his Tuxedo Dog Bandana. But during the holidays, we never really had anything festive for him to wear…that is until I designed this Santa Dog Bandana.
Now he is all decked out for Christmas! It’s a really fun free pattern for the Santa Paws in your life.
3. Santa Baby Booties – Free Crochet Pattern
What I love about this free Santa Baby Booties pattern is that they can be worn on a baby or used as a Christmas decoration. When it was my daughter’s first Christmas, they kept her little feet nice and cozy (and festive) and now that she’s not as little of a baby anymore, we fill them with candy canes.
4. Santa Mug Cozy – Free Crochet Pattern
This may the ultimate “gift for anyone” pattern. This Santa Mug Cozy makes such a great gift for a teacher, co-worker, friend or loved one. You can fill it with goodies to complete the gift. Or, use it to keep your own coffee and tea warm during the holidays. It’s also a wonderful decoration/candy cane holder!
5. Santa Wine Glass Holder/Lanyard – Free Crochet Pattern
If you’re going to any Christmas parties this holiday season, how fun will it be to wear this Santa Wine Glass Lanyard around your neck to hold your wine glass for you!
But you can also make it without the straps and put one on each wine glass when you set the table for Christmas dinner. Martha Stewart would be so proud!
6. Santa Can Cozy – Free Crochet Pattern
Designed to fit a standard 12 fl. oz / 355ml beer, soda or pop can, this Santa Can Cozy is sure to bring Christmas Cheers! While you can make this for anyone, it’s a great gift idea for men. My husband uses his all holiday season long. When you have a holiday party and are handing out beers to everyone, these cozies turn a regular can into a festive drink!
7. Santa Baby Hat – Free Crochet Pattern
Here’s a super cute baby hat for Christmas! This free Santa Baby Hat comes in three sizes (newborn – 3 months, 3 – 6 months and 6 – 12 months) and is fast and easy to make…perfect for baby’s first Christmas!
8. Santa Baby Mittens – Free Crochet Pattern
And after making the Santa Baby Hat, why not make matching mittens! These Santa Baby Mittens are designed to fit a 6 month old and can be made bigger or smaller by adjusting your hook size.
9. Christmas Toilet Paper Holder – Free Crochet Pattern
After turning all my Kleenex boxes into festive holiday decorations, I found the bathroom to be lacking festivity – especially with that extra roll of toilet paper that’s always good to be left out. And so I created this Christmas Toilet Paper Holder! Now you can deck your hall bathroom with this very festive Christmas decoration!
10. Christmas Cutlery Holder – Free Crochet Pattern
This free crochet pattern for a Christmas Cutlery Holder (you could also call it a utensil/napkin holder or a cutlery pouch) will make your table look incredibly festive for Christmas dinner! They are really quick and easy to make. You can whip up a few before the end of your favorite Christmas movie and then enjoy a picture-worthy dinner table on Christmas!
I hope this helps you find a free Christmas crochet pattern to make this holiday season!
